Who made this magic possible?
María · Cris · The little ones · The family · The animals · The friends · The helpers · You

We make sure that our words are more beautiful than silence
and we give thanks for all that we are and is given to us.
We’re a small family: María, Cris, and two little miracles—one who’s almost 4 years old and another who’s about to turn 2 months old. We love each other dearly, support each other in all our dreams, and believe in what we do.
We love nature, culture, and traditional and ancestral wisdom, and we’ve made friends with some truly exceptional professionals—musicians, midwives, photographers, chefs, potters, bakers, flamenco singers, and dancers—who embody everything we love, and we’re happy to share all this cultural, culinary, and natural richness with you.
We live in the middle of the forest in harmony with nature, with electricity provided solely by the sun, delicious water supplied only by a spring and a small pond, and animals—both “domesticated” (very few; we love that they retain their free spirit and do things alongside us at their own pace, when a beautiful and joyful natural motivation arises from the trust we’ve built) as well as wild ones (of which there are many, such as wild boars—we eat them with the utmost reverence and gratitude, and whenever we can, from head to tail—and the others take care of us in other ways: they visit us, call out to us, and we respond...) and with plants—both “cultivated” (but very hardy ones! with heirloom seeds, strong and resilient varieties native to the region) as well as wild ones, which we love to learn about, forage for, and eat more and more.
And it’s all of you who have helped us and continue to help us—making both our daily lives and our dreams possible. Our (saintly) moms, the rest of our family—including the one watching over us from heaven!—friends who come to help us and volunteers who leave as friends, the mare, the dog, and the cat, and all of nature that brings us joy and so much more; local professionals who deserve our utmost respect; and other friends and acquaintances always ready to offer their opinions from across the pond or other distant lands.
We deeply believe in the magic that is created when several people contribute their gifts and joy to the same project and build with the same playful energy—so serious and fun at the same time—with which children build their playhouse… And so, after it was all just a tiny seed that could only be seen “in the eyes”… the whole dream has gradually manifested and taken on “flesh and bone”… or rather, “bricks, plants, animals, exceptional people, and mountains”… now visible even beyond the eyes—beautiful, tasting delicious, caressing the touch with its noble, natural materials, sounding like angels, and smelling like the pure wonder of the countryside!
And it feels like the very reason we were born. It is purpose and calm and vibrant life. It is medicine for the soul and for the body. It is nonstop creation, inspiration, and enthusiasm.
And now it’s your turn.
Thank you so much for reading and sharing this little moment with us.

The Wonderful Invisible Protagonists
It fills our hearts with life to think of all the people who have helped us and continue to help us. Without you this dream would still be in the world of dreams.
You are such a reliable caress that we are all one, that as a team we can do so much more than alone, that sharing with wonderful people is more enjoyable, of the interdependence that is continuously this great Universe.
First of all, Mom Maria, Maria's mom, for her life, for her understanding, listening and strength to create the dream in the tangible world. She lends her hand (when I ask for it) and is like a fairy godmother, miracle after miracle begins to happen... everything incredible happens as if by magic... what a woman's strength... and how her grandson adores her. Thanks mom too for taking such good care of him and giving us so much time like this.
And mom Angelita, Cris's mom, so nice and kind and with those hands that make birguerías in the kitchen and has fed us so much and thus given us time and rest and laughter. And the mutual love with her grandson melts us all too.
The families of both, always there to give ideas, impulse, solutions, hope and all the love in the world. Especially my aunt and uncle Eduardo and Mercedes, who since I was a little girl have encouraged me to paint, to dream, to imagine... to do anything that moved me, whether it was something inside or outside the pot.And to grandmother Angelines who rocks me with her calm and her experience, like the wise silence that gives you an ancient temple.
To all of you who participated in the initial crowdfunding, for your trust and your contributions: both things move mountains.
To Diego, always there for everything, and to all his family, who have allowed and supported us whenever he lent us a generous hand.
To Borja, with his enthusiasm and his love for this project and for nutrition, fertility and natural childbirth, he has accompanied us through a thousand questions and bumps and solutions. To Heidi, with her conversations full of wisdom and laughter all along the way of preparation.
To Pedro, for his good taste and expert eye and his great cable with design.
To Riene for her hopeful and very generous participation, her absolute confidence and joy and her thoughtful ideas wherever she is without a smart phone... with telepathy. To Gwen, for the amazing photos, her sparkling eyes and her absolute affection for the little one and for everyone.
To Freepik for the photos we hadn't yet managed to take at the farm.To Mark and Fay for lending your hands and souls to fix up the farm so much.
To Adam and Auntie Beckie for your absolute devotion and professionalism in adding beauty to it all.
To the lanky one and the little one, living example of unvaccinated health and your spirits so pure.To TarSam, for all your archeological discovery of precious paths and your infinite care.
To Madelaine and Julia for your driving, enterprising spirit and your great injection of confidence in this life we live “with so much intention”.
To Tonio and Maria who, without having come and without knowing us in person, are already giving and helping so much from afar.
And, last but not least: to the cat Bla, who with his purring and his thousand lives adds so much warmth to ours; to the mare Courage, master of how to guide with joy, listening and trust; to little Javier, our great gift from heaven, that little piece of God who teaches us tirelessly and with all the patience in the world to make the best of our calm, generosity and joy, and who has been the beginning of the manifestation of a dream we have been dreaming of for so long.
And the magic continues with you, who come to share your stories, dreams and illusions in this secluded little corner, and who give us motivation and sustenance to move forward.
